Sean Coates ~ Web Architect

Sean Coates

Sean Coates has been developing Web applications professionally since 1999 in various positions, from developing payment code that processed over one million dollars per day, to working as the editor-in-chief of php|architect magazine, and organizer of php|tek and php|works conferences.

Sean has been a contributing member of the PHP community, from working heavily on the PHP manual, to maintaining PEAR code, speaking on the topic of PHP, and working on open source projects, including PHP itself, and most recently the Habari project.

Personal Note

I live in Montreal (with my wife and daughter), which makes me the token Canadian, I guess. That doesn't really mean much as far as work is concerned, except that I pronounce "about" strangely, and say "sorry" a lot.

I was drawn to OmniTI by what we refer to internally as the Brain Trust — a lot of really smart and well-known people. I'm constantly amazed by the talent in our office that I get to share with our clients each day.

When I'm not working, I'm probably doing something beer-related: sampling, seeking, sharing or brewing (all-grain). If you want me to fix your computer, my arm can be twisted with a glass of the sourest gueuze you can find.
